More than 20 Fortune 500 companies will join 100 local and national companies at this year’s edition of CareerFest, UB’s largest career fair.

The event will take place from noon to 5 p.m. March 2 in Alumni Arena.

The 2016 CareerFest brings representatives from such well-known national powerhouse companies as Apple, Pepsico Inc., Target, Northrop Grumman and Citi, as well as local companies like Moog, Catholic Health System of Western New York and Ingram Micro.

A full list of all participating companies is posted online and by downloading the “UB Events Guide” in the App Store and Google Play.

“Each year, UB’s CareerFest draws almost 2,000 UB students from all majors, as well as employers from around the country, looking to recruit the best and the brightest,” says Arlene Kaukus, director of UB Career Services, which organizes the annual recruiting event.

“Students who start exploration early have the most success finding employment. CareerFest gives them access to employers they would not otherwise have, and for all students this is extremely valuable.”

CareerFest will feature a LinkedIn Photo Booth, a mobile application with real-time updates to research open positions and navigate the fair, live social media broadcasting and a social challenge using #UBCareerFest.

CareerFest is open to UB students and alumni only. Career Services offers express, same-day, 20-minute appointments for resume, cover letter and LinkedIn profile reviews, and job search preparation advice.
