UB and the Division of Athletics will honor the men’s and women’s basketball teams for their exceptional 2014-15 seasons at a rally at 3 p.m. Monday in Alumni Arena.

The rally is free and open to the public. Fans are encouraged to wear blue and white.

Paul Peck, the radio voice of UB Bulls football, will interview players and coaches of both teams. The rally also will feature appearances by the UB cheerleaders, “cowbell guy” Casey Bunce and the UB Pep Band.

President Satish K. Tripathi will offer congratulations to the teams, both of which made historic appearances in postseason tournaments.

The UB men’s team, which earned the university’s first Mid-American Conference title in basketball, made its inaugural appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The women's basketball team played for the first time in the Women’s National Invitation Tournament.
