As part of a joint effort between the University at Buffalo and the City of Buffalo to improve living conditions for UB students living in the neighborhoods around the South Campus, building inspectors will be revisiting houses that were found in violation this fall to see if landlords have made the recommended improvements, and they will be inspecting new homes.

The inspections will take place beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, in the neighborhood around Main Street and Englewood Avenue.

UB students living in the neighborhood have been very supportive and appreciative of efforts to make sure that student rental housing is safe and up to code, says Daniel Ryan, UB director of off-campus student relations.

Ryan will be available at the corner of Main and Englewood at 11 a.m. Saturday for interviews or he can be reached by cell phone at 830-5016.
