BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The University at Buffalo School of Management Alumni Association (SOMAA) will hold a breakfast seminar on understanding financial statements from 7:30-9:30 a.m. on March 15 in 104 Alfiero Center on UB's North Campus.
"Financial Statements for Dummies," is part of the SOMAA's Smart Business Practices Breakfast Seminar Series.
The seminar, presented by Muriel T. Anderson, CPA, assistant professor of accounting in the UB School of Management, is specifically targeted toward a nonfinancial audience and is relevant for managers, small-business owners, nonprofit organizations and anyone who wishes to learn about the basics of company financial statements and how to interpret them in everyday use.
Sponsors for the 2011 Smart Business Practice Seminar Series are Citi, Delaware North Cos., Freed Maxick & Battaglia, Irish Welding and Irish Propane, Premium Wine & Spirits and Uniland Development Company.
The cost of the seminar, which includes a full breakfast, presentation and question-and-answer period, is $30 for SOMAA members, $35 for nonprofit representatives and $40 for others who are not members of SOMAA. A special rate of $25 is available for UB employees.
