UB Anderson Gallery to Hold Lectures, Activities Related to Joyce Exhibition

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- In conjunction with this summer's exhibition "Discovering James Joyce: The University at Buffalo Collection," the UB Anderson Gallery will hold lectures and other art-related activities in the gallery located at One Martha Jackson Place (off Englewood Avenue between Main Street and Kenmore Avenue), Buffalo.

They include:

Now through Aug. 22: Docent-led tours: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, 1 p.m. Private tours are available upon request.

July 26, Aug. 16, Aug. 30: "Paint, Prose and Poetry" for families and children, 1-4 p.m., $5. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

Aug. 13: Adult workshop, "Paint, Prose and Poetry," 6-9 p.m.

Sept. 9- 13: Final week of the James Joyce Exhibition. Appointments can be made for private or school tours.

"Discovering James Joyce: The University at Buffalo Collection" is a showcase of world-class artifacts such as original handwritten drafts, the author's famous walking sticks, passports and his signature glasses, and continues on display at UB's Anderson Gallery until Sept. 13.
