The University at Buffalo will celebrate 25 years of fun in the mud with Oozfest, the annual mud volleyball tournament sponsored by the UB Student Alumni Board (USAB), to be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday, April 25, 2009) in the Mud Pit on St. Rita's Lane on the UB North (Amherst) Campus.

Oozfest will feature 128 teams and more than 1,000 participants and volunteers, including students, faculty, staff and friends. Proceeds of the tournament benefit scholarship programs at UB.

In addition to volleyball in the mud, the day will feature music from WRUB, wheelbarrow races, three-legged races, a chicken-wing-eating contest, leap frog and a tug-of-war competition. And mud. Lots and lots of mud.

Press arrangements: Jay Friedman, interim director of alumni relations, onsite beginning at noon at 868-3205.
