Date of David Adjaye's Architecture Lecture Changed

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The lecture by David Adjaye hosted by the University at Buffalo School of Architecture and Planning, originally scheduled for April 20 at 5:30 p.m. in 301 Crosby Hall on the UB South (Main Street) Campus, has been rescheduled for April 21 at 5:30 p.m. in 301 Crosby Hall. A reception for the Adjaye will follow the lecture.

Adjaye is one of the leading architects of his generation in Europe and in the past year has won important commissions in the United States.

Born in Tanzania he received his master's degree in architecture from the Royal College of Art in London in 1993. Since 2000, Adjaye Associates has designed a series of studios for artists including the Dirty House, which was exhibited in the 2003 Sao Paulo Bienal in Brazil, and has been commissioned to design the Nobel Center in Oslo and the new Museum of Contemporary Art in Denver.

The Adjaye-designed Idea Store -- a library and education center in London -- was selected for exhibition at the 2004 Venice Biennale.
