School of Health Related Professions Honors Graduates

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Twenty new graduates of the University at Buffalo School of Health Related Professions were honored with scholarships and awards during the school's recent commencement ceremony.

The award recipients were:

o Wendy L. Radlich of Cheektowaga, the Sara Marie Cicarelli Memorial Scholarship. Radlich also received the Niagara Frontier Chapter of the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science Scholarship and the New York State ASCLS Scholarship.

o Veda T. S. Browne, the Sara Marie Cicarelli Memorial Scholarship

o Michael E. Godzala III of Cheektowaga, the Francis Hanavan Award

o Katherine Rotondo Baker of Syracuse, the Medical Technology Award for Highest Scholastic Achievement. Baker also received the Mary Cecina Riforgiato Scholarship Award.

o Sarah Shull Sidar of Buffalo, the Occupational Therapy Department Chair's Award

o Courtney Onnolee Kolstad of Rochester, the J. Warren Perry Scholarship. Kolstad also received a Stonegraber Scholarship and was inducted into the Tau Chapter of Pi Theta Epsilon, the Occupational Therapy National Honor Society.

o Thomas Andrew Kincheloe of Syracuse, the Kathleen M. Shaffer Memorial Scholarship Award. Kincheloe also was inducted into the Tau Chapter of Pi Theta Epsilon, the Occupational Therapy National Honor Society.

o Ellen Marie Beikirch of Rochester, the Linda A. Walters Memorial Scholarship Award. Beikirch also was inducted into the Tau Chapter of Pi Theta Epsilon, the Occupational Therapy National Honor Society.

o Katherine L. Miller of Rochester, the Wyeth Lederle Vaccines Award for the Biotechnology Student of the Year.

o Kathleen Michele Felser of Grand Island, induction into the Tau Chapter of Pi Theta Epsilon, the Occupational Therapy National Honor Society

The following students received Annette Rachman Scholarships:

o Dawn Bowers of Buffalo

o Andrew T. Burr of Buffalo

o I-Fen Chang-Chien of Amherst

o Candi S. Possinger of Amherst

o I-Wen Peng of Buffalo

The following students received Stonegraber Scholarships:

o Marjorie Diaz of Buffalo

o Cheryl Lynn Higbee of Silver Creek. Higbee also was inducted into the Tau Chapter of Pi Theta Epsilon, the Occupational Therapy National Honor Society.

o JoAnn J. Lester of Newark

o Amy Jeanette Paterio-Hankowski of Buffalo. Paterio-Hankowski also was inducted into the Tau Chapter of Pi Theta Epsilon, the Occupational Therapy National Honor Society.

o Kathryn Marie Wirth of Buffalo. Wirth also was inducted into the Tau Chapter of Pi Theta Epsilon, the Occupational Therapy National Honor Society.
