BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Multi-talented performer Rick Miller will present his new show, "Slightly Bent," at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. April 26 in the Mainstage Theatre in the Center for the Arts on the University at Buffalo North (Amherst) Campus.

His one-man show is part of the Off Center Series, sponsored by the UB undergraduate Student Association. The series media sponsor is WBFO-FM.

"Slightly Bent" is a multi-media comedic extravaganza, featuring more than 150 characters and just about everything Miller can do in 65 minutes. Live sketches make up the bulk of the performance, and the story is told through connected video segments that feature the protagonist in search of ideas to justify his chosen show title, "Slightly Bent." He interviews a host of dysfunctional friends and family, all played by Miller as well, each of whom have their own opinion as to what the title could mean.

The show includes such hilarious sketches as: "Bohemian Rhapsody" sung by 25 of the most annoying voices in the music industry; The Simpsons sing "We Are The World;" The Madonna tribute album: "Men Do Madonna," and "The Phantom of the Karaoke Bar." It's Robert Lepage meets Jim Carrey.

Rick Miller is a Toronto-based actor/writer who has performed in three languages on four continents. As artistic director of WYRD Productions, he has created and performed three award-winning one-man shows: "Art?," "Slightly Bent" and the worldwide hit "MacHomer: The Simpsons do MacBeth," which still is touring after five years and which he performed at UB last year.

A member of Toronto's acclaimed Soulpepper Theatre Company, he is one of Canada's most respected multi-disciplinary performers, with credits ranging from classical theatre to the avant-garde, from musical theatre to film and television.
