BUFFALO, N.Y. -- New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer will be the featured speaker when alumni and friends of the University at Buffalo Law School hold their annual New York City Alumni Luncheon at noon on Jan. 26, in the Union League Club, 38 East 37th St. in Manhattan. The event is held each year in conjunction with the New York State Bar Association's annual meeting.

"It's a great opportunity to visit with UB Law School friends from across the state at one of New York's oldest and most elegant clubs," says Law Alumni President Patrick C. O'Reilly.

Attendees also will hear a special presentation by Dean R. Nils Olsen, Jr.

Two faculty members -- Charles Patrick Ewing, professor of law and adjunct professor of psychology, and Catherine Cerulli, clinical instructor in the Family Violence Clinic -- will receive state bar awards at events during the annual meeting.

Ewing was selected by the Criminal Justice Section to receive its "Outstanding Contribution to the Field of Criminal Law Education" award, and Cerulli will be presented with the "Young Lawyers Award" from the Young Lawyers Section.
