BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Department of Art in UB's College of Arts and Sciences will offer a series of workshops, beginning in late October, for members of the public interested in working with UB faculty members.

The workshops, offered by the art department's Enrichment Program in Art, are designed to provide serious high-school students, teachers (of any discipline), amateurs and artists of all ages the opportunity to interact with professional, knowledgeable instructors and technicians from the university.

The workshops will be offered in a variety of media, including computer graphics, drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking and photography.

Sessions will take place on weeknights and Saturdays in the Center for the Arts on the North Campus. The deadline for registration for the workshops is Oct. 16.

The enrichment program also will offer a special, free, three-hour workshop for teachers on Nov. 4. The workshop, which will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., will include demonstrations and hands-on experience in the UB printmaking facility in the Center for the Arts.

The registration deadline for the teachers' workshop is Oct. 25.
