Borst Named to Board of Disability Association

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Randall Borst, director of disability services at the University at Buffalo, has been named to the Board of Directors of the Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD) as director of membership and constituent relations.

AHEAD is an international association of disability-service providers working in the college and university setting. Borst, a member of the organization since 1990, served as chair of the Task Force on Accessibility of AHEAD Conferences and Literature from 1995-96. He also has co-presented several sessions on issues of disability in higher education at AHEAD international conferences.

Borst came to UB in 1997 from Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW), where he served as director of services for students with disabilities. From 1995-96, he also served as president of the Indiana Association on Higher Education and Disability.

He taught in the English department at IPFW from 1992-95, and in 1994 was listed in "Who's Who Among America's Teachers."

Borst, who holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Purdue University, is a resident of Amherst.
