BUFFALO, N.Y. -- University at Buffalo dental researchers are looking for adults ages 18-60 who have facial pain or headaches associated with temporomandibular jaw joint (TMJ) disorders to participate in a new study that will begin July 1.
The study, which will be conducted by Richard Ohrbach, D.D.S., Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Oral Diagnostic Sciences in the School of Dental Medicine, will evaluate two forms of treatment for the condition. Neither of the treatments, which will be free of charge for study participants, involves medication.
Participants must come to the dental school on the South (Main Street) Campus for two one- to two-hour treatment-and-evaluation sessions spaced about three weeks apart. Evening and weekend appointments can be arranged.
