May Named "Engineer of The Year" By UB Engineering Alumni

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- James F. May, retired president of Oakgrove Construction Co., has been named "Engineer of the Year" by the University at Buffalo Engineering Alumni Association.

May, a resident of East Aurora, earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from UB in 1949. He is the 10th engineering alumnus to receive the award from the school's alumni association.

Charles M. Fogel, UB professor emeritus of engineering and last year's honoree, presented the award to May at the association's recent banquet.

May is past president of the UB Engineering Alumni Association and the New York Chapter of Associated General Contractors. He also is a life member of the West Side Rowing Club.
