Office of Postdoctoral Scholars

The Office of Postdoctoral Scholars, headed by Luis Colón, is a sub-office of the Graduate School. This office provides assistance for all postdoctoral scholars, including:

  • Information for new employees at UB.
  • Off-campus housing information.
  • Targeted seminars and research symposia.
  • Social functions for postdoctoral scholars from across the university.
  • Support and guidance for faculty who employ postdoctoral scholars.

National Postdoctoral Association Membership

The University at Buffalo is a sustaining member of the National Postdoctoral Association (NPA), a member-driven, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides a unique, national voice for postdoctoral scholars. As a UB postdoctoral scholar, graduate student, faculty or staff member you are eligible for a free affiliate membership. Clicking on the previous link will bring you to the sign up website. Please follow the instructions and register as “Affiliate Individual Member” and be sure to use your UB email address.
