Management Science and Systems
Saeede Eftekhari is a PhD candidate in UB's Management Science and Systems program. She has particular interests in health care analytics and the economics of health information technologies. Her dissertation is focused on examining the impact of the health information technologies implemented in the U.S. health care system on the quality and cost of medical care. She earned a master's degree and a BSc in industrial engineering from Isfahan University of Technology, Iran. In addition to research, she enjoys teaching.
What made you interested in your dissertation research topic?
I chose this research topic because I believed it could connect my academic background in statistical modeling and my analytical skills with my personal interests in helping people to manage their health.
Why did you decide to attend UB for your PhD?
When I was studying my master's in Iran, my advisor, introduced University at Buffalo to me. He knew a PhD candidate in the school of management, who was doing his PhD research on the health care area, which was in my great interest.
Name your favorite thing to do in Buffalo. What do you enjoy about that?
Visiting the Niagara fall was one of my dreams when I was a
