The Office of Postdoctoral Scholars provides a formal communication link among postdoctoral scholars, faculty and university administration.
We provide assistance for all postdoctoral scholars, including:
Postdoctoral Scholars Research Symposium: The Graduate School hosts an annual Postdoctoral Scholars Research Symposium, in June. This event showcases the research done by postdoctoral scholars through a research abstract/poster competition and a three-minute oral presentation competition. The top three abstract/poster presentations and the top two three-minute presentations are recognized at the event as well as the annual Distinguished Postdoc Mentor Award.
Postdoctoral Teaching Training for Academic Careers Workshop Series: This is a free seven-week class offered exclusively to postdoctoral scholars each spring on various topics in teaching and learning. Postdocs who attend all seven sessions will receive a UB CIRTL Associate Level Certification. Check back soon for more information.
