Program Description

The environmental health concentration under the Public Health MPH program prepares students to identify factors that influence health, and develop tools to sustain an environment that promotes health. Students gain foundational public health knowledge and competencies, study environmental contamination and degradation by human activity and natural processes, and understand their impacts on health directly and through interrelationships with other living organisms and ecosystems. Students train with faculty who are experts in their field at New York’s premier, research-intensive university dedicated to academic excellence and making a positive impact on the world.
