Program Description

The Psychology MA program emphasizes research and scholarship contributing to the scientific understanding of psychology. Students may, through selection of appropriate elective courses, choose a concentration within the field of general psychology. Areas of concentration represented in the department of psychology include behavioral neuroscience, clinical psychology, cognitive psychology and social-personality psychology. This program does not provide the necessary training for graduates to be eligible to work as counselors or therapists upon graduation.
