Program Description

Our Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering department has a strong reputation for excellence both nationally and internationally. The Civil Engineering PhD requires students to develop a dissertation that communicates the results of original research at a high level of scholarship. Students can choose a technical concentration in geosystems engineering, structural engineering, mechanics and materials, or transportation engineering.
