In 2010, he completed a Masters of Public Health at the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University. In 2011, he returned full time to UB’s Department of Medicine as division chief of general internal medicine. He also currently serves as associate medical director at ECMC.

Fudyma received honorable mention in UB’s 2016 Louis A. and Ruth Siegel Awards as a teacher in the preclinical program at UB.

An alumnus of the Jacobs School, he completed his residency in internal medicine at UB, served as chief resident in 1990 and was associate program director of residency training at UB.
