News Conference: UB launches program encouraging employee home ownership in South Campus neighborhood

BUFFALO, N.Y. – University at Buffalo President Satish K. Tripathi will brief the media on the launch of UB H.O.M.E., a new program to provide financial assistance to university employees, encouraging them to purchase homes in the University Heights and neighborhoods surrounding UB’s South Campus.

When and where: Friday, Nov. 20, at noon in Allen Hall on the UB South Campus.

What: The UB H.O.M.E. program will help university faculty and staff purchase a home within designated neighborhoods.

Why: UB remains committed to its historic South Campus, a Western New York landmark dating back to the 1920s. The university is also committed to helping to stabilize and revitalize neighborhoods surrounding the South Campus. To further this goal, UB is intent on encouraging its employees to invest in a home through the UB H.O.M.E. program.

Who: The following leaders from UB, its partners in UB H.O.M.E. and Western New York elected officials will be available to respond to questions and provide additional background:
