BUFFALO, N.Y. – Buffalo’s resurgence is happening now, right in the heart of downtown. In the bustling medical corridor, The Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus (BNMC), UB’s New York State Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics and Life Sciences (CBLS) and its partners are working together to drive innovation, advance new discoveries and improve the regional economy.

As part of CBLS’s monthly Commercialization Lecture Series, Matt Enstice, BNMC Inc.’s president and CEO, will highlight the BNMC’s continuous efforts to strengthen our community through the cultivation of a world-class medical campus for clinical care, research, education, workforce development and business.

His talk is today, March 26, at 4 p.m., on the second floor of CBLS at 701 Ellicott St., Buffalo.

"Collaboration is at the heart of what we do and the foundation for how the medical campus continues to enhance its clinical, research and teaching excellence,” Enstice says. “The really exciting part is that we are now seeing the impact of working together on all facets of our community — connecting residents with jobs, helping entrepreneurs get their businesses off the ground and creating new models in energy, alternative transportation, active living and so much more."

The lecture will also feature CBLS Business Development Executive Kim Grant. Grant will address CBLS’s role in advancing the life sciences entrepreneurial ecosystem, bringing new industry and economic vitality to – and beyond – the BNMC.

“The CBLS is the ‘front door’ to the resources companies need to grow their life sciences business,” Grant said. “Whether you need access to facilities, equipment, people or funding, we will connect you to all that the university has to offer. We know the business landscape in Buffalo and will successfully help you navigate it.”
