BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Center for the Arts at the University at Buffalo will welcome Lily Tomlin on Saturday, April 28, at 7:30 p.m. in the Mainstage Theatre in the Center for the Arts, UB North Campus. The performance is presented by Beechwood Continuing Care. A question and answer period will follow the performance.

Enjoy a nostalgic evening full of smart comedy, social commentary and personal reminiscences with one of America's best-loved performers, Lily Tomlin. Featuring hilarious insights from more than a dozen of her famous characters, including: the precocious six-year-old Edith Ann; telephone operator Ernestine; Judith Beasley from Calumet City, Indiana; and Trudy, the schizophrenic street lady -- Lily Tomlin has come to define the bold, irreverent nature of the one-person show.

Throughout her extraordinary entertainment career, Lily Tomlin has received numerous awards, including: six Emmys, two Tonys and two Peabody Awards. Her film credits include Robert Altman's The Player and Short Cuts; Joel Schumacher's comedy The Incredible Shrinking Woman; Woody Allen's Shadows and Fog; 9 to 5 with Dolly Parton; Orange County; Flirting With Disaster and I Heart Huckabees. She has also had memorable roles on television, including appearances on Murphy Brown, Will and Grace and The West Wing.

Her performance is presented by Beechwood Continuing Care, Western New York's premier not-for-profit senior care community and the first to spearhead the national movement for person-centered care and household living. Named Welcome Home, this initiative focuses on enhancing as many aspects as possible that make Beechwood a true home for their residents by ensuring they experience the best quality of life.
