UB Alert: Police Investigating Burglary/Robbery

Buffalo Police are investigating a burglary/robbery that was reported early today in a residence on the 100 block of Winspear Avenue near the Parker Lot on the South Campus.

The suspect was described as a black male, wearing all black clothing and a black "doo-rag" cloth on his head. He displayed a handgun and threatened to shoot the resident, who is a UB student. The suspect was last seen heading toward Main Street in Buffalo. Campus security cameras do not appear to show the suspect running onto campus.

If anyone has information about this crime they are advised to contact the Buffalo Police Department at 716-851-4416.

Members of the university community are urged to remember to stay alert to their surroundings, to always travel with other people and to report any unusual circumstances or suspicious persons and activities to the University Police as soon as possible.
