Catharine Dohn

Catharine Dohn, formerly assistant dean for Millard Fillmore College, has been giving back to UB since 1997, compiling more than 2,250 hours of volunteer service to date.

She joined the Emeritus Center and REV-UP (Retired Employee Volunteers -- University Program) in July 1997 and began actively volunteering with increasing hours of service each year. She served two two-year terms as secretary for the Emeritus Center Board, for which she now handles all matters relating to Emeritus Center "sunshine." In addition, for the past 14 years, Dohn has served as treasurer of the Williamsville High School Alumni Association, as well as recorder of contributions for the Amherst Lutheran Church.

Her recent REV-UP involvement has included volunteering for the curriculum department and the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences' admissions department. She assisted with reconciling accounts for the medical curriculum department and tabulating UNSLE survey results, earning high praise from the curriculum coordinator. She also assists with processing and support for more than 4,000 applications, again garnering accolades from the admissions advisor, who noted that Dohn was stellar in her role and flawless in her performance.
