BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Center for the Arts at the University at Buffalo will present ABBA Mania on Nov.9 at 7:30 p.m. in the Mainstage Theatre in the Center for the Arts on the UB North (Amherst) Campus.

ABBA Mania formed in London in 1999 and has been selling out theatres and concert halls internationally ever since, bringing the music of the Swedish supergroup to their millions of fans, old and new. A special concert presentation, which celebrates ABBA's music and style in a respectful and enjoyable way, ABBA Mania revives special memories of when ABBA ruled the airwaves with timeless songs that will last forever.

Agnetha, Bjorn, Benny and Anna Frida, collectively known as ABBA, dominated the charts for nearly 10 years. At their height they became Sweden's highest export earners, amazingly, outselling Volvo cars. In the early 1980s, they decided to go their separate ways, but their music lives on. Their greatest hits album, ABBA Gold is one of the biggest selling albums in history.

ABBA's timeless songs were written to be enjoyed live and ABBA Mania features two hours of uplifting, dance inducing and sometimes heart-breaking songs, respectfully re-created live with staging, lighting and effects.

ABBA Mania is not only for life long, die-hard ABBA fans, but the new generation of fans, who never had the opportunity to see them live. Hits performed include: "Dancing Queen," "Waterloo," "Mamma Mia," "The Winner Takes it All," "Fernando," "Take A Chance On Me" and many more.

The Williamsville East High School Vocal Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Maureen J. Reilly, will also join the group on stage to perform the song "I Have A Dream."
