Media Advisory: How Can Green Energy Bring More Green -- the Other Kind -- to Buffalo Niagara?

Dozens of investors and venture capitalists from around the state will learn about pioneering clean energy technologies being developed in Buffalo Niagara by researchers at the University at Buffalo and local companies when they attend the Explore Buffalo Niagara 2009 Investor and Entrepreneur Energy Forum to be held tomorrow (Thursday, May 14, 2009) in UB's New York State Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics and Life Sciences, 701 Ellicott Street, Buffalo.

From 1-2 p.m., UB professors will discuss innovations ranging from flexible solar cells and energy-storing nanomaterials to ways to use combustion optimization to boost energy efficiency and cut air pollution.

From 2-3:30 p.m., presentations about green energy technologies, such as solid oxide fuel cells, ethanol fuel initiatives and solar power will be made by local companies including NanoDynamics, ENrG, RiverWright, SolarPraxis and Buffalo Solar Boat.

This forum is being held during the American Solar Energy Conference to focus on Buffalo Niagara's green energy assets.
