Program to Address Future of Human Research

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The University at Buffalo will sponsor a presentation on "The Future of Human Research: Concerns and Possibilities" to be held at 2 p.m. on April 1 in the Center for Tomorrow on the UB North (Amherst) Campus.

James A. Weyhenmeyer, senior vice president for research for the State University of New York Research Foundation, will present the lecture, part of the UB Human Research Protection Program Distinguished Speakers Series. The lecture is free and open to the public.

It will address important current and emerging trends and issues concerning research on human beings that will change the face of human research enterprise.

A cell biologist/neuroscientist, Weyhenmeyer has published extensively on degenerative brain disorders. His research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, American Heart Association and the PHARMA Foundation.
