University Police are investigating a strong-armed robbery that occurred on Tuesday, January 1, 2008, at approximately 10:30 p.m. on the South Campus near Acheson Hall. Victim states the suspect took the victim's purse. The suspect did not display or threaten a weapon, but the suspect did strike the victim in the face while taking the purse.
Suspect described as a lone male of unknown race 5'8," medium build wearing a black hoody under a black down coat and blue jeans and was last seen running down Winridge Road toward Winspear Avenue.
Remember that there is safety in numbers; it is best to travel with 2-others especially after dusk.
