BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Center for the Arts at the University at Buffalo will present Blue Suede Shoes -- The Ultimate Elvis Bash at 8 p.m. on Jan. 18 in the Mainstage Theatre in the Center for the Arts on the UB North (Amherst) Campus.

Celebrate the "King" with the ultimate Elvis tribute show starring two of the world's finest Elvis impressionists. Mike Albert is second to none in bringing to life the Elvis of the '70s while Scot Bruce ('50s Elvis), according to The Tennessean, "has got it going on, his voice is so uncannily like the King's you'll think you're in Blue Hawaii."

While pursuing music and acting as a career, Bruce started doing a 1950s-era Elvis show as a way to survive the lean times. The result was a surprise to Bruce, as what was meant as a part-time "gig" to supplement his income, blossomed into a full time career. Because of his uncanny resemblance to the young "King" (and his ability to sing, strum a guitar, and swivel his hips), his live show has taken him across the U.S. and all over the world. As Elvis, he has appeared in music videos with Faith Hill and Sheryl Crow. Bruce has also appeared in recurring roles on the hit soap operas Days of Our Lives and The Bold and the Beautiful, and in several successful productions of Idols of the King, including the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Recently, he had the honor of performing with the legendary Jordanaires (Elvis' original backup singers).

Albert's show has become known worldwide for the respectful portrayal of the later period Elvis Presley. Albert won several major world "Elvis" contests, and demand for his shows resulted in putting together a seven piece Big "E" Band, to emulate the sound Elvis' band had in the Vegas shows and on tour. An appearance on the Oprah Winfrey show further exposed audiences to Albert's talent. He has toured across the U.S., Europe and as far as Australia and New Zealand at many large conventions and theaters. Albert's style and charisma and his ability to get the audience involved in the show have proven to be quite the crowd pleaser.
