Adler Elected President of UB Alumni Association

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Marc A. Adler of Williamsville, who earned three degrees from the University at Buffalo, has been elected to serve a two-year term as president of the UB Alumni Association.

Adler, a partner for Flynn and Friends, a marketing communication firm in Buffalo's Allentown district, received a master's degree in geography in 1983, a master of business administration degree from the UB School of Management in 1982 and a bachelor's degree in geography in 1979.

Other officers elected for the 2007-08 term are: Lawrence J. Zielinski, M.B.A. '77, B.A. '75, of Elma, president of the Visiting Nursing Association of Western New York, first vice president and chair of the alumni association's development and membership committees; James F. Wendel, B.S. '75, of Lancaster, assistant treasurer and secretary of the Seymour H. Knox Foundation, Inc, vice president, finance, and chair, financial resource management committee; Thomas A. Palmer, J.D. '75, M.B.A. '71, of East Amherst, partner and vice chairman for Jaeckle Fleischmann & Mugel, LLP, chair, audit committee; Kimberly J. Pustulka, B.S. '97, of Lakewood, Ohio, associate at Jones Day in Cleveland, Ohio, co-chair, chapter committee; Edward F. Ryczek, B.S. '71, of Sun Lakes, Ariz., retired controller for Gould Electronics in Chandler, Ariz., co-chair, chapter committee; Helene A. Blieberg, B.A. '77, of New York City, principal, Helene Blieberg Associates, chair, communication and marketing committee; Timothy P. Lafferty, B.A. '86, of East Aurora, vice president of sales and marketing for Chakra Communications, chair, alumni programs and events committee; and Rita Andolina, M.S.W. '88, B.A. '80, BA '80, of Orchard Park, staff development associate for Western New York Developmental Disabilities Services Office, chair, partnerships committee.

Newly elected members of the board of directors are Mary E. Dunn, D.D.S. '90, PMCert '93, of East Amherst, pediatric dentist for Pediatric Dental Care, P.C; Jay R. Friedman, Ed.M. '00, B.A. '86, of Amherst, UB assistant director of conferences and special events; Nicholas J. Gill, B.S. '02, of Lancaster, senior engineer for Fisher-Price; Carol A. Gloff, B.S. '75, of Natick, Mass., president, Carol Gloff and Associates; Kathleen Kaney, M.B.A. '96, B.A. '94, of Charlotte, N.C., vice president of administration for Carolinas Medical Center; Joseph R. Kreuz, B.S. '81, of Kenmore, president of Advantage Professionals; Bernard A. Tolbert, M.S.W. '73, B.S. The UB Alumni Association is a volunteer-led international organization that provides ongoing service to alumni and a focus of alumni support for, and service to, UB, its students, faculty and staff.
