BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Center for the Arts at the University at Buffalo will present Adam Ferrara with Joe Starr at 8 p.m. on Feb. 17 in the Mainstage Theatre in the Center for the Arts on the UB North (Amherst) Campus.

A proven favorite in comedy clubs, festivals and sitcoms, Ferrara has earned a name for himself as one of today's leading comedic talents. His popularity as a stand-up has been validated with two American Comedy Award nominations for Best Stand-Up and two "Comedy Central Presents" half-hour specials.

Ferrara's stellar list of stand-up television appearances include multiple appearances on Comedy Central, as well as "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "The Late Show with David Letterman," "The View," "Politically Incorrect," "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" and "The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn." Ferrara has also been a featured performer at the Comedy Central Roasts of Rob Reiner and Denis Leary.

His range as an actor has grown since his early years of playing the role of Pete on NBC's "Caroline in the City." He has moved onto projects such as the critically acclaimed ABC series "The Job," in which Ferrara co-starred opposite Denis Leary. He played the role of "Tommy Minetti," a young NYC detective in the prime-time series, starred in the behind the scenes Improv documentary "Contest Searchlight" on Comedy Central and most recently wrote and co-starred opposite fellow actor/comedian Lenny Clark in the Comedy Central pilot "Lenny and Adam."

Ferrara's feature film debut "Ash Tuesday" was received at the Tribeca Film Festival with rave reviews. Additionally, he recently appeared in the feature "Dark Descends."

Ferrara performed for all 48 of the Democratic Senators at the annual Caucus (with special guest Bill Clinton). After being delayed in traffic on the way to the event, he was quoted as saying, "I've waited this long for health care, now, they can wait for me."

Joe Starr has an instant likeability and an "every man" personality which combines a comfortable yet magnetic presence. Joe Starr's television debut appearance on the Metro Channel's New Joke City, a half-hour stand-up comedy show hosted by Robert Klein, filmed at New York's Gotham Comedy Club, showcased him as one of the future leading comedic talents to take the stage.
