BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Center for the Arts at the University at Buffalo will present Ballet Flamenco José Porcel at 8 p.m. on Nov. 2 in the Mainstage Theatre in the Center for the Arts on the UB North (Amherst) Campus. A pre-performance talk will be held at 7 p.m. The performance is sponsored by KeyBank. Media sponsor is WGRZ-TV.

This is hot Flamenco dancing at its best! Rhythmic, euphoric and sensual, the dancers move with the vitality of the Spanish and Gypsy spirits. The unparalleled Porcel, who soloed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic's Hollywood Bowl performance, "is an artist from his feet to his head," according to Los Almuerzos del Lido-Sociedad y Cultura.

The fiery sensuality and exuberant joy of flamenco explodes onstage as Spanish master Porcel and his company of dancers, singers, and guitarists exalt in a stunning spectrum of rhythm, color and passion. Porcel has been the leading Spanish flamenco dancer and choreographer since his debut in 1989, and has performed to sold-out audiences from Paris to the Hollywood Bowl.
