Rockin' Rally 2001 To Kick Off Bulls' Football Season

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The 2001 University at Buffalo football season will kick off on Friday, August 24 with Rockin' Rally 2001, Buffalo's largest pep rally featuring classic rock artists Loverboy, the 2001 UB Bulls football team, the UB marching band and the UB cheerleaders.

Rockin' Rally is an annual event that takes place at UB Stadium as the Bulls prepare for their season opener -- this year at home against Rutgers University on Aug. 30.

Attendees will meet the 2001 Bulls football team, cheerleaders and marching band.

The rally will conclude with Loverboy performing in concert and a spectacular post-event fireworks show.

All UB season ticket holders receive a complimentary ticket to the Rockin' Rally, as do all new UB students attending Freshman Orientation.

General admission tickets to Rockin' Rally 2001 are $10, and gates will open at 6:30 p.m. with the event beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Bulls' season tickets, as well as tickets to the rally, may be purchased at the UB Stadium Ticket Office, 645-6666.
