Hough Named Assistant Vice President For Human Resources

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Susan Hough has been appointed assistant vice president for human resource services at UB.

Hough, previously served as the campus human resources manager for 15,000 staff members within the Division of Human Resources and Risk Management at the University of California at Davis.

In her new position, she will be responsible for all aspects of Human Resource Services, including the SUNY Research Foundation Payroll and Personnel, State Payroll, and Personnel and Employee Relations operations.

Hough also has practiced labor and employment law, and provided human-resource management consulting for colleges and universities. In addition, she has held professional positions in human resources in private industry.

She earned a law degree from Williamette University and a master's degree in labor and industrial relations from Michigan State University. She also holds a certificate in dispute resolution from Williamette University and is a member of the California State Bar Association.

Hough has authored several publications and given numerous presentations and lectures at colleges and universities on the East Coast.
