BUFFALO, N.Y. -- KPMG LLP, the accounting, tax and consulting firm, has donated $25,000 to support the Department of Accounting and Law in the UB School of Management.

The gift will be used to maintain a dedicated accounting conference room at the school that will bear the KPMG name for the next two years.

In making the gift, KPMG praised the excellence of the School of Management's accounting curriculums and cited the firm's successful history of recruiting students from the school. KPMG is one of the leading employers of MBA and undergraduate accounting graduates from the School of Management. More than 50 graduates of the school's accounting programs currently are employed at KPMG offices all over the world.

"We have long considered KPMG to be an essential partner in the development of our accounting curriculums and in the successes of our accounting graduates," said Lewis Mandell, dean of the School of Management. "The naming of the conference room is a tribute to our mutually beneficial relationship with KPMG."
