UB Immunology Convocation To Focus On Cancer

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Exciting new developments and pitfalls in cancer research, diagnosis and treatment will be the focus of the 14th International Convocation on Immunology, to be held Oct. 8-11 in the Buffalo Marriott, 1340 Millersport Highway, Amherst.

The convocation is sponsored by the Ernest Witebsky Center for Immunology at the University at Buffalo.

National speakers will provide updates on the latest developments in cancer immunotherapy, developmental stages of diagnostic techniques and treatment, and appropriate and effective use of new approaches to cancer immunotherapy.

Poster discussion sessions of selected papers will be held throughout the convocation, which is expected to draw 100 researchers and physicians specializing in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

The convocation is supported by the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation; Life Technologies, Inc.; Olympus Optical Co., Ltd.; Pfizer, Inc., and Wyeth Lederle Vaccines.
