BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The School of Pharmacy recognized 20 students with awards at its recent commencement ceremony.

The recipients and their awards were:

• Karen Lee of Mineola, the Roger Mantsavinos Award, the David E. Guttman Award and the Francis P. Taylor Award

• Joseph Morgante, Jr., of Lancaster, the Robert H. Ritz Award

• Timothy Barnett of Middleport, the Roy M. Barr Award

• Maria Dybala of West Seneca, the Eino Nelson Award and the Margaret C. Swisher Memorial Award

• Kelly Sprandel of North Tonawanda, the APhA McNeil Mortar and Pestle Professionalism Award sponsored by McNeil Consumer Products Company, the Pharmacists' Association of Western New York Student Leadership Award and the Robert M. Cooper Memorial Award

• Jennifer Karpie of Williamsville, the Samuel J. Bauda Award

• Mara Poulakos of Amherst, the A.B. Lemon Memorial Award and the UB Pharmacy Alumni Association Award

• Lynne Tornambe of Depew, the Michael E. Crawford Award

• Tracy Engel of Clarence Center, the Lilly Achievement Award and the McKesson Leadership Award

• Natalya Gryazeva of Rochester, the Merck Award

• Carrie Bartolotta of Saugerties, the Merck Award and the SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals Patient Care Award
