BUFFALO, N.Y. — Registration is now open for the Leadership Accelerator program, a professional development course from the University at Buffalo School of Management’s Center for Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness (CLOE) that uses the most recent and proven research to transform Western New York leaders into self-starting superstars.

The program consists of six four-hour classroom sessions enhanced by six hours of personal leadership coaching. Participants will build advanced leadership abilities, implement a personal leadership development plan, increase self-awareness and put what they have learned into action.

“The Leadership Accelerator program is for high-potential, mid-career leaders in all industries and functions who want to accelerate their growth as a leader and increase contributions to their organization,” says Molly Anderson, CLOE executive director. “It’s particularly well-suited for leaders in manager, director or similar roles as they prepare to move into greater levels of responsibility and scope.”

Sessions will be held from 8 a.m. to noon on Feb. 23, March 16, March 30, April 13, May 18 and June 8 at the UB Downtown Gateway, 77 Goodell St., Suite 201 in Buffalo.

Paul Tesluk, dean of the UB School of Management and professor of organizational behavior, will direct the program.

Tesluk regularly teaches corporate programs on leadership development topics, has extensive experience as an executive coach and actively consults with organizations to design and implement leadership development efforts. He will work with other UB School of Management faculty and experienced coaches to deliver the Leadership Accelerator program.

Registration for the program includes admission to CLOE’s annual conference, Leading Innovation in the Social Sector, featuring a keynote from best-selling author and entrepreneur, Seth Godin. The daylong conference is scheduled for April 27 at Buffalo RiverWorks and will also be open to the public.
