Start With Your Department

If you want to visit your department and meet with faculty, we strongly recommend that you contact your department of interest in advance and tell them that you are interested in visiting. With notice, many departments can help you make the most of your visit to UB. Visit our list of academic programs for department contact information.

Traveling to Buffalo

  • By Air: It's easy and inexpensive to fly to Buffalo. The Buffalo Niagara International Airport boasts some of the most affordable airfares in the United States, as ranked by The Wall Street Journal. There are more than 100 nonstop daily flights and Buffalo is only an hour’s flight from New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago and Washington, D.C.
  • By Train: Amtrak services the Buffalo Niagara region with two train stations: Exchange Street, located in downtown Buffalo and in the Buffalo suburb of Depew, an approximately 20-minute drive from UB’s North Campus.
  • By Bus: Bus service to Buffalo is offered through three large carriers, Greyhound, Megabus and Trailways, with stops in downtown Buffalo and at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport.
