Why Choose UB?

We Can Change the World

As a premier, public research university with $386.6 million in annual research expenditures*, UB is committed to supporting the work of our faculty and students, whether they’re scientists, social workers, lawyers or linguists. As the academic health center continued to take shape in downtown Buffalo, we took our research power to the next level by investing $25 million over five years in the Communities of Excellence—a grand vision to amplify UB’s ongoing efforts to solve the challenges facing society, while simultaneously creating new multidisciplinary learning opportunities for students.
