Costs of Attendance

At UB, you will receive a great education from some of the world’s best professors and researchers at an affordable cost—one of the lowest in the U.S.

Please note the following in your personal budget plan:

  • Tuition is set by the State University of New York; it is subject to change without notice.
  • For the fall and spring semesters, UB’s tuition price is based on the full-time flat tuition model; the tuition prices noted above are the same price for 12–18 credits.
  • Fees include the Student Activity Fee, comprehensive fees and International Student Health Insurance.
  • Food and housing (also known as “board”) costs are based on average on-campus residence hall costs; this cost will vary slightly depending on room occupancy and dormitory.
  • Books and personal schools supplies are not included. Students should budget $750–$1,000 per semester. Some programs, such as architecture and art programs may have significantly higher costs for supplies.
  • Personal and incidental costs are not included. Students should budget at least $750 per semester.
  • All above estimated costs are subject to change.
  • Total costs typically increase 7 percent to 8 percent annually.
